Swarms are normally not dangerous, for they have no nest to protect. If you would like me to collect one then ring me on:
086 33 5 0202, as swarms can be there for between 1hour to sometimes a few days, before finding a nice home (often in your roof or the one next door), it is important to contact me right away.
Normally it is ok for swarms to nest in the roofs of houses; there has been a change to this though recently. Bees nowadays need the care and attention of beekeepers, for otherwise they will perish within 2 years of nesting due to not haven been given treatments against varroa mites.
Hopefully they will soon become immune against the viruses, that are in the mites and we can then again have healthy and strong bees in the West.
